"Nearly every RVer would claim that they love nature and enjoy getting out in it. A great majority of those will admit to having taken pictures while RVing. One hotspot where RVers and wildlife come together is Yellowstone National Park. Here, the opportunity to capture wildlife on camera is more the norm, rather than the exception. Once we get home, however, and start paging through our phones and digital cameras, we find that the ratio of quality images is usually exceeded by those that are less so. Now there is a new book, the Beginners Guide to Bird and Wildlife Photography to help change that ratio."

"First and foremost I appreciated this authors concern and respect for his wildlife subjects. This book is written in easy to understand language with great examples of photos taken with different settings. This is the perfect book for those new to photography and those ready to come out of the “auto” mode."
- Linda Jansen, U.S.A.
"Excellent book written exceptionally well for the avid beginner. In reviewing the principles covered, I can see how i could greatly improve my photos with some very simple concepts. The ohh, that makes sense moment. Includes a variety of incredible wildlife shots."
- Bud Kirn, U.S.A.
"This is a very interesting book. It starts with interesting aspects/thoughts of nature photography and then digs into basics and even more technical aspects. I didn't expect the intro and it thru me off at first. Don't worry the whole enchilada will follow. The descriptions and techniques are very well written and should be very easy for a beginner to understand. Good reading for an intermediate photographer as well. The book includes a number of extremely well done shots of birds and animals. The writer is definitely top notch."
- Jim Mitchell, U.S.A.
"This book is a great first book for people that don't know a lot about cameras....Good Job!!"

"This book is a feast for the undecided traveler. It leads us on a journey to places unknown, with descriptions of sandy beaches, lush jungles, shimmering waterfalls and ancient ruins. You can read about tegogolos and if they are worth eating, an opinion on the best beer in Central America and the joys of discovering new foods and traditions. Jorn's journey from Mexico to Panama, and back again, is described with an authenticity that makes you yearn for your own adventure. As well as detailing the trip the book includes practical advice on how you too could make this type of adventure a reality. Tips on gear needed, border crossings/customs requirements and even budgeting make this an invaluable book for anyone with a yearning for the road. As an added bonus the book also contains many beautiful photographs that were taken along the way. The wonders of the natural and the man made have been captured in exquisite detail to compliment the text."
- Rachel, San Francisco, California, U.S.A.
"I purchased this book and found it to be outstanding in detail and great photographs of the adventure they took into Central America. Jorn has included such fine detail of all the areas he visited....all I can say is WOW! Great book Jorn ... I will recommend it to all my friends."
- Photographer Duane Starr, Calgary, Canada
"I had the privilege of spending time with Jorn while photographing, or more often waiting to photograph, grizzlies, wolves, and other critters in Alaska. His story of leaving his career and home to have more fulfilling adventures with his wife and dog was inspiring. Learning about his excursion south of the border was also quite interesting. Follow Your Bliss provides a excellent review of his journey and lessons learned along the way that should interest both travelers and those who dream of traveling.
Most of the book is in the form of a first person travel log through Mexico and Central America. Stops along the way include coordinates/distance, camping info, and first hand experiences with the local culture, cities, attractions, and nature. The narrative includes many tips ranging from useful to humorous (who knew apple juice fixed traffic tickets?). Both positives and negatives are included along with thoughts on when and how to visit regions and attractions. This provides a more interesting and personal look at traveling through the region than a typical guide.
There are also sections which provide useful information on vehicle and camper considerations, budgeting, traveling with pets, border crossing and permits, safety, photography, gear, and other concerns. One of the best aspects of the book is Jorn's philosophy on travel which is woven through the tips and travel narrative. He advises and demonstrates the advantages of taking the time to venture off the beaten path, avoiding typical tourist/traveler traps, and letting the land and people take you on unplanned adventures along the way.
If book's words weren't enough to convince you to pack up and travel then the plentiful photos might do the trick."
- Photographer Kenneth Kearney, Bellingham, Washington, U.S.A.
"I've always been fascinated by those who have the courage to quit everything and follow their dreams. If you are like me and just feel that you can't, let yourself be guided by this wonderful journey and realize that you actually CAN! The well chosen words make you feel that you have been discovering the places with them, and the pictures are all worth to be framed (I actually did frame one for my living room!). What impressed me the most is the attention to details, and more importantly, the tips that you learn to prepare such a trip. All in one, it is a very educational and inspiring piece, a ticket to a travel through your imagination with the goal to incite you to just quit everything yourself and follow your bliss. I certainly now want to!!! Highly recommended!"
- Vanessa, Austin, Texas, U.S.A.
