During peak winter birding season, I offer one-on-one private photography workshops at New Mexico's Bosque del Apache and neighboring areas. Join me as we find the best landscape and wildlife opportunities in the area at the time of your visit.
This is a private workshop tailored to your skill level and needs. Whether you are a beginner or an accomplished photographer, we will focus on what you want to get out of the workshop: learn how to use your camera, get better images or get insights on where to find the best photo opportunities.
As a very small group, we'll be able to move fast as photo opportunities arise and focus 100% on your interests: from landscapes to the tens of thousands of sandhill cranes and snow geese, to the variety of mammals that call this area home.
This workshop is typically offered mid November to late January to coincide with peak birding season along the Rio Grande, although unseasonably warm or cold temps can move this window.

Private workshops are led by me, an award-winning photographer and guide. I have been leading photography workshops and tours for years by myself and for companies such as Natural Habitat Adventures and World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in diverse areas such as New Mexico, Grand Teton and Yellowstone. As a New Mexico local, I am intimately familiar with the places that provide the best opportunities to get the shots you desire. I always put the animal first and behave respectfully in the field.

RATES
- 8 Hour Photo Workshop $900 (4-Hour sunrise session, mid-day break, 4-hour sunset session)
Pricing includes up to three people (private group) as I am unable to accommodate more than three people to leave sufficient room for our photo gear in the car.
Rates include hotel pickup and drop off in Socorro, as well as snacks and non-alcoholic beverages in the field.
