A Snowy Egret patiently searched the muddy bottom of the estuary for its next meal. By moving its feet through the mud in a sliding motion, it was uncovering shrimp that live in the mud. San Carlos, Gulf of California, Mexico.

After patiently wading in the tidal pool (Gulf of California, Mexico), the Reddish Egret caught a fish. Attempted to eat it only to drop it... and then catching it again!

On Sunday, I found myself at the Salt river waiting for the bald eagles to do some fishing. Hours later, they were still sitting in a tree as if food was the last thing on their mind. Then these horses showed up and posed beautifully in the scenic landscape.

Happy New Year! Hope all your dreams come true in 2017 (or at least some of them...)!
I just got back from a trip to San Carlos, Mexico and have lots of bird pictures to edit. Be on the lookout in the weeks to come.
