Saguaro Bones
Ever wonder what happens to a giant saguaro cactus after it dies? Or how the cactus can grow to be so tall but yet be sturdy?
I came across this dead saguaro on a hike in the Phoenix Mountains Preserve. After the outside skin is gone, the saguaro's "bones" (or its framework) show.
