Robert, thank you for the kind comment. I currently use a Nikon D800 body which is fine for photographing the wild horses. In rare situations do I wish I was using a body with higher frame rate and larger buffer (specifically when photographing action). Regarding lenses, most or all photographs of the wild horses are made with the Nikkor 200-400 f4 and the Nikkor 70-200 f2.8. Both lenses are great. If I were to recommend one 'go-to' lens, it would be the 70-200 f2.8 since the horses do allow you to approach close enough to not need the extra focal length that the 200-400 f4 offers. Let me know if you have any other questions, Jorn

Jorn, I very much enjoy viewing your photographs of the Salt River Wild Horses. I was born and raised here in Arizona. I have been to the Salt River many times over my life. And I have seen the salt River Wild Horses many time as well over those years. I am an at best a amateur photographer. I was curious as to what type of camera equipment and lens you prefer for your wildlife photography? Thank you for any comments. Robert
