K Country Dandelions

When you're in Canada's Rocky Mountains, one of the lesser known gems is called "K Country".

Home to grizzlies, wolves and other big wildlife, it is - at least where most foreigners are concerned - an unknown place.  Not hard to understand if you consider its location: it is located next to Banff and Jasper National Parks which get all the visitors.

K Country stands for its full name: Kananaskis Country.  It offers 10,000+ ft mountains (3.000+ meters), glaciers and lots of big wildlife. Think moose, elk, wolves and grizzlies.

Here's one of two grizzly cubs whose mom was hanging out just outside of the picture frame.  All were busy eating dandelions and the cub was kind enough to pose with one in its mouth.
