Grizzly Cub
How cute is this newborn grizzly cub?
May and June are the perfect months to find & observe grizzlies in the Grand Teton / Yellowstone area. As the grizzlies come out of hibernation and the snow begins to melt, they are hungry and are regularly found near roads eating the vegetation (and newborn elk calves if they have a chance).
Let's do all we can to protect these majestic creatures. Can you imagine these bears were almost at the mercy of a few selfish hunters if a judge hadn't stepped in to stop this year's grizzly hunt?
We've been here since early May and still find ourselves in the Tetons ... it's hard to leave such a magical place!
