Shoshone

Some of the big bull moose that wander around Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park are so big and impressive that; like some of the famous grizzly bears in the valley; have received a name.

This is Shoshone.

On this particular afternoon, he got up just in time before the sun dropped behind the Teton mountain range behind me.

As he posed for the picture, I got the impression that he had a smirk on his face.

This image was purchased by several publications, including The Times (U.K.).
