Fall Color Bull Moose
With the moose rut finally over, the bulls have settled down.
During the rut, the bulls are almost constantly on the move to look for cows that are ready to mate.
A moose cow only goes in heat for about a day at a time (and this gets repeated over the course of about a month during mating season, unless a bull successfully mates with her), so the bull has to stay close to the cow and keep 'checking' to grab his chance when it presents itself.
This mid-sized bull moose was on the move during mating season, looking for a cow.
