I found this young bull on a backcountry hike as he was bedded down. Hours later, he hadn't moved an inch.
It took a bigger bull to walk into the area for him to get up. He took a sip from the creek and walked over to greet the other bull. "Greet" may be too nice of a description: the two bulls sparred violently for a few seconds and this guy lost. He ran away followed by the bigger bull, which quickly ended my photographic opportunity ...
A quick tip when going out to look for moose: wear rain boots. This image required me to go into the creek to get to eye level with the bull.
