Time for some cute COY, aka. Cubs Of the Year.
The only grizzly sow in the Tetons who has COY so for is Felicia, up on Togwotee pass in the Bridger-Teton National Forest.
Much of the grizzly bear action so far this spring is happening in Yellowstone.

Sunset Bison

I photographed this bison just before the sun dipped below the mountains, highlighting the silhouette and the brown-headed cowbirds that sat on its back. Spring is finally arriving in full force in the mountains!

River Otters

River otters are, of course, most at home in the water.
Their streamlined body and agility allows them to catch fish like native Cutthroat Trout in the Tetons and Yellowstone.

399 and Spirit are Awake!

Last night, April 21, grizzly 399 and her yearling cub Spirit put in a very brief appearance in her usual area in Grand Teton National Park!

Meet the (former) King of Jackson Hole.

In the fall, while hiking around Jackson Hole to look for moose, I typically carry my 70-200mm f/2.8 lens.

It doesn't always work out as you need a clear silhouette, unobscured by other dark elements that may make the animal blend in too much.
