Circle of Life
With Winter fast approaching and the end of the Fall colors in sight, I gathered some leaves of the aspen tree in the Northern Colorado Rocky Mountains. The leaves show the different stages the aspen leaves go through from Summer to Winter.
In Summer, the aspen tree leaves are green and as the Fall season comes, turn yellow before finally turning black. As the leaves decompose on the ground underneath the tree, they provide nutrients which the tree uses to grow green leaves come Spring ... and the Circle of Life continues.
