Rocky Fox Den
While camping in the mountains outside of Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, I was pleasantly surprised to find a fox den in a very rocky area.
Even though I know that foxes create their dens in a variety of environments, such as a hole dug in the dirt or under a house's back porch, I wasn't expecting this pile of sizeable boulders to house a den.
Over the course of a few days, I observed the den and saw two babies come out to explore the world. Great fun to see the two kits explore while at the same time being very cautious!
