It's that time of the year: salmon are heading back to their stream of birth to spawn.
Little do they know they're being awaiting by hungry predators ...
Southeastern Alaska's Tongass National Forest is home to several salmon-filled streams.
I photographed this brown bear capturing several pink salmon.
He caught a male pink salmon.
These are also called "humpy" due to the large humpback they develop when they return to spawn.
