Alaska's Tongass National Forest is teeming with bears now that the chum salmon are arriving to spawn.
This big grizzly (with a funny hairdo) appeared out of the rain forest and, being on the wrong side of the shallow salmon-filled creek, swam the deep glacier-fed lagoon.
Along the way he discovered that some salmon prefer the lagoon for spawning and he promptly started fishing!
He walked across a fallen stump on his way to the lagoon.
He entered the lagoon and didn't seem to want to get wet.
A brief glance at the photographer ... and decided his time was better spent focusing on salmon than on me.
