I found this bull moose in Grand Teton National Park as he was hanging out near a river, together with another similarly sized bull. During the annual mating season (the rut), bulls smell the air in what is called the "Flehmen response": smelling whether a nearby cow moose is ready for mating and is sexually receptive.
