It seems that summertime visitors to Grand Teton National Park more and more have to contend with smoke from nearby forest fires.
When the fires are bad, unfortunately, you can pretty much forget about making landscape images. Even the smoke from a fire hundreds of miles away can hide the Teton mountains behind a curtain.
These images are from an outing in early fall.
As a fire across the mountains in Idaho created an eerie, fiery backdrop, I found a beautiful big bull moose, who seemed to pay extra attention to the event.
