As I'm spending the winter months in Mexico along the Sea of Cortez, I'm finally finding some time to edit images from this past spring, summer and fall spent in Jackson Hole and Yellowstone.
This image has a clear message: when you're visiting Yellowstone in late August or September, don't assume all bears will be walking around.

Wolves Need Our Help

It is heartbreaking to watch as grey wolves get slaughtered by states such as Idaho, Montana, Wisconsin and Michigan.
I think it's clear to say that science has nothing to do with this: these states have officially declared war on the wolf and are trying to reduce the wolf population down to zero.

Happy Birthday to Grizzly 399

Born in January of 1996, the world's most famous grizzly bear celebrates her birthday this month. Currently asleep in her den outside of Grand Teton National Park, grizzly 399 turns 26!
Once she and her four cubs appear out of hibernation, probably sometime in May 2022, she is expected to kick out her four cubs shortly after.
