A big bull moose performs the "flehmen response".
The animal behavior called a "flehmen response" is recognized when an animal lifts up its head and curls back its upper lip exposing its front teeth. As you can see in the below picture, moose are one of the species that perform this behavior.

I hiked out into the sagebrush field one afternoon to find 9 moose hanging out together.

It's been a while since I've seen the Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep in Jackson Hole.
During summer, these animals migrate to higher elevations. Once the cold weather arrives in fall, however, they make their way down again.

During the moose mating season, the big bulls typically get the girl.
That doesn't prevent the little (younger) guys from trying though. In this case, a big bull was rubbing his antlers in the bushes when a small bull walked in.
